Swayam
Frequently Asked

Before You Apply

Is Swayam Path a wellness retreat?

Not in the usual sense. Most retreats teach techniques — we create experiences. Every walk, meal, silence, conversation and challenge is intentionally designed to create an internal shift, not just fill a schedule. You come here to reconnect with your own world, not disconnect from the outside one.

Do I need any prior experience with yoga, meditation, or trekking?

No. Swayam Path is built for people who feel disconnected from themselves or the pace of modern life — not for people who already have it figured out. Every practice, from breathwork to blindfold trust walks, is guided from the ground up.

What does a typical day look like?

Each 5-day journey moves through arrival and slowing down, building trust, going within, breakthrough, and integration — a rhythm of guided breathwork, movement, nature immersion, silence, journaling and shared reflection. See The 5-Day Journey section above for the full arc.

Will I have phone or internet access?

Digital detox is one of our seven pillars. Simplicity as freedom means removing unnecessary noise so clarity has room to emerge — expect structured time away from your phone, held intentionally, not as a punishment.

Why is this application-based instead of open booking?

Because this is not for everyone — just for those who are ready. Each journey is kept small and intentional so every participant is genuinely met, not processed through a schedule.

What should I bring?

A full packing and preparation guide is shared once your application is accepted. In general: comfortable layered clothing for changing mountain weather, a journal, and an open mind.
